With the season 2 premiere of Star Wars Rebels, we get the first interaction between Ahsoka and Anakin, now Darth Vader, since she walked away from the Jedi Temple. Since the premiere, we are in no doubt that Darth Vader knows that it is Ahsoka who interacted with him using The Force.
However, what does Ahsoka know?
Does she know that the pilot and Sith Lord they faced IS Anakin Skywalker, her old Jedi Master?
Many believe, like my husband, that yes, Ahsoka does know that the pilot and Sith Lord they faced IS Anakin. Especially, since Darth Vader identified her when they connected though The Force and even confirmed this with his master, The Emperor.
Ahsoka tells Ezra and Kanan that she does not know who or what the Sith Lord is.
I believe that Ahsoka is telling them the truth and may not know who or what this Sith Lord is at this time. I theorize that the interaction between Ahsoka and Darth Vader was too overwhelming, because of the Dark Side, for her to get a clear understanding of just what Ahsoka felt through The Force.
Remember, Ahsoka is not a Jedi Master, like Obi-Wan or Yoda. She has faced The Sith during The Clone Wars, but has not had this type of deep personal contact in The Force with someone who is so steeped in the power of the Dark Side. In addition, even with Kanan’s help, she might not have gotten a clear picture of Darth Vader in order to identify him as Anakin before she passed out from the sheer power of Darth Vader. Therefore, Ahsoka might not know who or what this Sith Lord is now, but may realize this during the course of the season.
