Obi-Wan Kenobi & Count Dooku – An Unstoppable Force?

Obi-Wan Kenobi is considered by many (including me) the perfect Jedi, he is a man who always does as the Council asks, but knows when rules need to be bent. He is as wise as he is cunning and charismatic, he always has great advice and mixes it perfectly with his brilliant wit. He is a master of both the force and a lightsaber. Obi-Wan has had his hardships in life. Most notably the death of his master and the woman he loves both at the hands of his nemesis, but no matter how dark and depressing his life may have been,  he controlled his emotions and stayed true to the ways of the Jedi Order —  unlike many other members. However,  what would of happened if Obi-Wan had not of stayed true to the Jedi? What if he embraced his emotions and passion and decided he wanted to experience the full spectrum of the Force? What if Obi-Wan Kenobi became a Sith Lord?

Kenobi’s mastery of both the Force and the Saber mixed in with his brilliant military mind has gained Obi-Wan admirable respect,  from both his allies and his enemies. One notable admirer of Master Kenobi his his masters master — Count Dooku. Many times we have heard of Dooku’s admiration for Kenobi especially in Attack of the Clones and in an episode of Clone Wars when Dooku speaks of how Qui-Gon had so much confidence in Kenobi, and he laments that Kenobi stayed on the light side of the force which causes the Sith Lord to wonder what might of been if Kenobi had of joined him on the dark side of the force.

 

So that is what I ask, would Kenobi and Dooku be an unstoppable team? I believe so. We all know that Dooku wanted to kill his master Darth Sidious and take his place but the main problem he had was he couldn’t take him on alone, he was training Asajj Ventress but Palpatine quickly learned of that and made sure Dooku cut their ties. His next apprentice was the brother of Darth Maul, Savage Oppress and that quickly became a nightmare as the unstable Oppress turned out to be a tool of revenge from Ventress. The main problems between Ventress and Oppress was that they both needed so much training and needed to molded perfectly before they could help their master slay Lord Sidious. This allowed Sidious to snuff out any potential threat from his apprentice which he obviously knew was coming as all Sith Masters know that one day their apprentice will challenge them. Ventress and Oppress needed too much training unlike Kenobi who would only need a small amount of training and preparation before helping Dooku slaughter his former master.

Obi-Wan is a seasoned warrior and a master tactician, these talents mixed with his many others would surely help Dooku in his plans to rule the galaxy. Now, people may say that Dooku was not as talented as Sidious and would not of been able to pull off the great Jedi Purge and birth of the Empire, but remember that Dooku learned under Sidious and with the help of someone as talented as Kenobi (who of course had inside information) he may of just pulled it off. The death of Palpatine would surely send tremors throughout the republic and possibly send it into turmoil for long enough for Dooku and Kenobi to strike while also executing Order 66. Maybe Dooku and Kenobi would make alterations to Palpatines plans and maybe these alterations would be much more effective, that’s one of the reasons this duo would be so effective as Dooku and Kenobi are very similar in ways, they are both charismatic, witty and amazing warriors who are full of confidence in every fight but respect all worthy opponents. It is impossible to tell what could of happened in this Alternate Star Wars Universe all I know is a team of Dooku and Kenobi would be a terrifying and almost unstoppable team. Obi-Wan Kenobi was already an amazing warrior but him embracing the full power of the Force his abilities would increase even more. Sith Lord Obi Wan Kenobi would be a terrifying but entertaining sight.

 

Imagine the famous Kenobi vs Skywalker battle through another perspective, where Obi-Wan is the fallen Jedi and Anakin is the one pleading for his friends return to the light side. Imagine Anakin joined him…Sith Lords Kenobi and Skywalker now thats a terrifying and dynamic duo. That’s the fun with “What if” stories, you can make up some awesome ones.
